Exam Certificates
A GCSE certificate is the official document which provides the results you achieved in your GCSEs. The certificate(s) are physical evidence of your academic qualifications. Each certificate details the subjects taken, the grades achieved as well as the exam board awarding the result.
GCSE certificates are often requested as part of applications for further education, training placements and jobs throughout your adult life. It is essential to collect your certificates and keep them in a safe place because replacing them can be expensive and time consuming.
GCSE certificates are issued by exam boards around 2-3 months after GCSES results are released. This is to ensure any reviews of results have taken place.
Ibstock school will retain your certificate for a minimum of 12 months, after which time it will be securely destroyed.
If you are unable to collect your GCSE certificate on the dates advertised you can either:
- Arrange for a sibling currently at Ibstock School to be given your certificates to bring home – please email Exams@IbstockSchool.co.uk to arrange this.
