Today is Young Carers Awareness Day 💙
We recognise and celebrate the incredible strength and compassion shown by young people who help care for family members or loved ones. Being a young carer can sometimes feel overwhelming, but you are not alone.
If you are a young carer and need support, help is available. Please speak to your Crew Leader, Ms Webster or Ms Davies who will be happy to listen and help you access the support you deserve.
What a vital day at Ibstock School. Yesterday, our Year 9 students engaged in a hugely impactful Knife Crime Workshop, expertly led by Danny from Street Whyze Project. It was fantastic to see our students participate so thoughtfully, reflecting on crucial lessons around personal safety and the severe dangers associated with knife crime.
These powerful discussions are absolutely essential for empowering our young people with the knowledge and confidence to make safe choices and positively contribute to our community. We`re incredibly proud of their engagement and willingness to explore such important topics.
🎟️ Learner of the Lesson Raffle!
Each day this week, we will be holding a Learner of the Lesson raffle draw in the Main Hall at 1:50pm.
If you receive Learner of the Lesson in any of your lessons, make sure you bring your raffle ticket to the Main Hall at 1:50pm to be entered into the draw.
At Ibstock School, we celebrate students who demonstrate our OUR Values:
⭐ Opportunity
🤝 Understanding
✅ Responsibility
Work hard, earn your ticket, and be in with a chance to win! 🎉
We are looking to recruit a hardworking, dependable, and flexible cleaner to join our small and friendly team.

The first of our 3 World Book Day challenges was for students in years 7/8 to work out which member of staff was dressed as which book character. Over 60 children took part and received a small prize for their efforts 📖 😀📚
📚 Happy World Book Day!
Staff have stepped into the pages of some much-loved stories today… 👀
Keep an eye on our socials as we share photos of staff throughout the day.
The question is can you guess which characters they’ve dressed up as? 🕵️♀️✨
