CLEANERS
Term-time + 50 hours to be worked during school holidays
Grade 4, Point 6. Full time annual salary – £24,997
Permanent – commencing April 2026
We are looking to recruit hardworking, dependable and flexible cleaners to join our small and friendly team. This role is important in ensuring that our school is a safe, clean and well-maintained environment for students and staff. There are two roles available. Please state on your application which role you are applying for:-
Cleaner 1: 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 2:30pm – 5:30pm. Actual salary: £9,192.25 per annum (pro rata)
Cleaner 2: 12.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 3:00pm – 5:30pm. Actual salary: £7,783.76 annum (pro rata)
Key responsibilities:
- Perform general cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, sweeping and dusting of classrooms, corridors, offices and communal areas
- Comply with all relevant health & safety and infection control policies and procedures
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are used and stored safely and stocks are replenished, as required
- Maintain equipment in good working condition
- Report any maintenance or hygiene issues to the cleaning supervisor/facilities manager.
The ideal candidate:
- Will have proven experience as a cleaner or similar role in a school or childcare setting
- Understands the importance of maintaining hygiene and safety in environments with children
- Has knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper handling of cleaning equipment
- Can work efficiently, independently and takes pride in high standards
- Is physically capable of performing repetitive tasks, lifting and bending.
