September 2026
Dear Parent/Carer,
OUR DAY – Friday 16th October 2026
As part of our programme of enriching extra-curricular opportunities, we are delighted to confirm the details of our first OUR Day of the academic year, which will take place on Friday 16th October 2026.
OUR Days provide students with the opportunity to explore new interests, develop valuable skills and enjoy experiences beyond the usual classroom environment. We look forward to making our first OUR Day of the academic year a memorable and rewarding experience for all our students.
OUR Day celebrates the hard work, dedication and progress of our students, while continuing to embed the Ibstock Values of Opportunity, Understanding and Responsibility in all we do. The positive feedback from previous OUR Days last academic year was overwhelming, and we are thrilled to build on that success with this exciting next step.
For this term’s OUR Day, Years 8, 9 and 10 will have the opportunity to visit Alton Towers. This is both a recognition of their achievements and a chance for them to take part in an enriching extra-curricular experience that contributes positively to our school community.
Key details of the day:
- Destination: Alton Towers

This trip to Alton Towers is just one of the many experiences being introduced as part of OUR Day, alongside a range of activities designed to engage and challenge all year groups throughout the year.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support. We look forward to celebrating the success of our students and sharing this exciting day with them.
Yours sincerely,
Ibstock School
