Dear Parents/ Carers,
We are writing to provide you with an update on the recent Chromebook roll-out at Ibstock School and seek feedback on how we can make it even more effective. It’s hard to believe it’s already been four months since we launched the scheme, and we’re absolutely thrilled with the positive impact it’s having on our students’ learning.
The Chromebooks have seamlessly integrated into classroom activities, empowering students with enhanced access to resources, collaborative tools, and innovative learning experiences. We’ve seen a real boost in engagement and an improvement in the way our students are approaching their studies and revision.
Students have adapted to using the Chromebooks with amazing speed. They are embracing the technology in many of their lessons allowing them to expand their learning both inside and outside the classroom. From lesson observations and talking to students it is clear to see how they are supporting and enhancing the learning experience.
We want to extend a huge thank you to families for your support in making this initiative such a success.
For those of you who participated in the previous iPad scheme, please be assured that these devices are still perfectly welcome and can still be used in school and where payment plans have ended, can be restored to factory settings for personal use at home. The Chromebooks, with a more effective implementation plan, are simply providing a more consistent and supported learning environment for our Year 11 students.
We’re committed to finding exciting new ways to use the Chromebooks to improve your child’s learning experience at Ibstock School. These devices will give them the opportunities and skills they need to thrive in OUR community and beyond.
