Dear Parent/Carer & Student,

It was lovely to see so many of our Year 11 students at the Prom recently. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening for both students and staff who attended.

Our next big event for Year 11 is Results Day!

When: Thursday 21st August 8:30am to 10:00am

Where: Ibstock School Library

What to bring: photo ID (bus pass or passport etc), their personal email address for future contact, any revision guides or uniform you wish to donate

Students will be able to collect their GCSE results in person on the morning of Thursday 21st August 2025. They should queue to enter via the external entrance to the school library.

All students will be required to complete a form to confirm their plans for Post-16. This is because we are required to track the education paths of our students for three years after they leave us. I would also add to please contact the school in the future if a Post16 place has fallen through, we will do what we can to support them into finding a new place.

Our Careers Lead, Mr Foulsham, will be available on the day, should students need support once they have received their results.

There will be the opportunity to open results in quiet room if needed and pastoral staff will be on hand to support.

What if I am unable to collect my results?

Students who are unable to collect their results in person can pre-arrange for a named person to collect on their behalf. This requires a signed letter from the student, or an email from their school email account naming the person who will collect on their behalf. Please email exams@ibstockschool.co.uk by Monday 18th August if you wish for someone to collect your results.

Please note, that the person collecting results on your behalf must bring photo ID with them for GDPR purposes.

Any results not collected on Thursday 21st August will be sent to the student by post or email.

We wish you a restful summer.

Kind regards,

Sarah Nelson
