Up for 07:00, breakfast at 08:00. On the menu was hash browns, beans on toast or cereals. Everyone made their packed lunch for the day. No rain today.

Mr Pilcher's group did archery in the morning and for the afternoon went out in the harbour on kayaks. Mr Pilcher, Brad Fantom and Heather Standen ended up in the water. They played bull dog having to paddle from one side of the river to the other for world domination whereby each student was a named country and students had to tap another boat to get that person to become part of the capturer's country.

Mrs Higginson's group did a five mile full day mountain walk. The mountain is called Cnicht which gets its name from the old English word of 'Knight' as it resembles a knight's helmet in shape. It is 2260 ft (689m) above sea level. The walk felt further than it was as it was really steep and at the summit they were walking in the cloud! It was a sense of achievement so all had ice creams in Harlech just down the road from the centre. Mrs Higginson is fine despite having three falls along the way! Stars of the day: Emma Edwards, Anthony Allsopp and Matt Hill. Mrs H was very proud of all today, especially as they said they were not going any further after making it only 200 yards from the mini-bus at the start.

Miss Goy's group went rock climbing in Barmouth and in the afternoon, gorge walking. Caitlin Walters was very supportive helping others - who were scared of heights - up the rock face. Megan Braithwaite went up like spider woman. Students abseiled down.

Chicken stew and rice for dinner at 18:00 with sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Students are lively tonight for a Halloween special. All students have had bedroom inspections and had duties such as vacuuming and setting out the table for breakfast and dinner.

The coach left at 09:30 prompt and after a forty-five minute stop at Shrewsbury we arrived at 14:15. Students found out what rooms they were in on arrival. We had a tour of the area right next to the harbour. Shortly afterwards, the whole group took a trip to the beach - a fifteen minute walk from the centre. This week we have the whole centre to ourselves!
