21:30 We spent today studying WW2 on and around the D-Day landing beaches in Arromanches. We visited a panoramic 360o cinema and students learnt about France’s involvement in WW2. We then visited the American war cemetery in Colleville-sur-Mer and the German gun batteries in Longues-sur-Mer. After dinner we went to a crêperie and had a pancake. A long, emotional day today and an early start tomorrow morning to get to the market.
07:45 Great afternoon at Mont Saint-Michel yesterday and an evening making our own pancakes. This morning we are heading to Omaha Beach (D-Day landing beaches) and the 360 degree panoramic cinema before heading to the war cemetery and gun battery in Colleville-sur-Mer.
